Hannah B. Vaughan
Hannah B. Vaughan is of counsel with Booth Harrington & Johns of NC PLLC, North Carolina's First Elder Law Firm, with offices in Greensboro and Charlotte, North Carolina. Ms. Vaughan received her J.D. from the University of Alabama, School of Law in 2005 and her B.S. from Vanderbilt University in 2000. She is currently serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law for the Elder Law Clinic at Syracuse University College of Law.
Prior to her appointment as a Professor, she was an associate practicing Elder Law at Booth Harrington and Johns of NC PLLC for 5 years. Ms. Vaughan has represented clients on matters relating to Special Needs Trusts (in both estate planning and personal injury settlement contexts), Guardianship, Public Benefits Planning (Social Security, Medicaid, and Veterans benefits), Estate Planning, and Trust & Estate Administration. She also served as primary counsel to a non-profit trustee of a Special Needs Pooled Trust. She is an active member of the North Carolina State Bar and an inactive member in good standing with both the Georgia State Bar and the Alabama State Bar. She is a member of National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and she is certified by the Department of Veterans' Affairs to represent claimants regarding their VA benefits.
In addition to practicing law, Ms. Vaughan is also known for being an active member of her community. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Transportation Advocacy Center (TAC), the Triad Retirement Living Association (TRLA), and the Junior League of Greensboro (JLG).
