Human Race 2015
Walking for Mobile Meals and Community Nutrition in the 2015 Human Race The 2nd annual Human Race
This nationwide community event allows participants to raise funds for their favorite nonprofit by walking, running, or strolling their way to the finish line. The Triad's local Human Race is organized by the Volunteer Center of Greensboro. This 5K event begins and ends at the Coliseum Complex. We invite you to participate in this year's event by raising funds for Senior Resources of Guilford's Mobile Meals and Community Nutrition programs.
Each $1300 raised through the Human Race will enable us to meet the critical nutritional needs of a senior for one year. Our agency currently has a waiting list for 25 Mobile Meals and 65 Community Nutrition clients.

“Each day our community relies on caregivers to provide essential services to our seniors. The Triad Retirement Living Association, an organization of more than 100 senior service industry professionals, has recognized the largely unheralded work of these dedicated caregivers each year with the Elder Caregiver of the Year Award. We recognize 10 finalists at an annual luncheon. Nominees have included family members, volunteers at hospitals or hospice organizations, employees of independent living retirement communities, assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, home care agencies or adult daycare centers.”
